The Balderas (lines 1 and 3) and Salto del Agua (lines 1 and 8) metro stations are about 350 and 400 metres away, so you can cross the city without relying on a car. Arriving by air, you'll land at Mexico City International Airport (Benito Juárez), around 5 kilometres away: by car or taxi the trip usually takes between 20 and 40 minutes depending on the traffic, which is always heavy downtown. For day-to-day trips, the metro is the fastest, cheapest option, with Balderas and Salto del Agua just a few minutes on foot.
The monumental heart of the capital is an easy stroll on foot.
